pain

Rented a steamer to remove wallpaper. That takes some effort, let me tell you. Ken did a fair amount of the holding the steamer while I did the scraping. That was for one wall. It’s actually easier for one person to do the whole job, as he found out.

While he used up the last of the first tankful on the steamer, I started rippingup nail-strips and staples from the dining room floor. It’s become apparent that I’m not gonna have everything done in time for the 20th. So, I’m going to get the dining room, kitchen and the back bedroom done, painted, floored, and finished. At least I’ll be able to live in it with that. Anything else that gets done in time for relocation is gravy. I’ll just run the business from the dining room for now. At least I’ll be functional. And I won’t have to drive to the house after work to do anything to it, I’ll already be there.

Oh, the pain? I think I wrenched my back helping Ken change out the brakes on his Jeep. Such is life.
