Forbes on Fox strikes again!
Did I just hear Leah Goldman right? Bill Gates isn’t an entrepreneur?
In a heated debate over the Inheritance Tax (which Leah asserts affects random small numbers of people, and then blames overwhelming support for its repeal on “12,000 families, including the Waltons who call it a Death Tax”) she actually claims that entrepreneurs aren’t hurt by the death tax, and then goes on to claim the Bill Gates isn’t an entrepreneur?
What planet does she live on? Love him or hate him, Bill Gates built the single largest software company in the world from absolutely nothing. Think about it - he sells nothing but information, and he’s now worth billions.
Is there some sort of magic wealth number that, once crossed, strips a businessman of the title “entrepreneur”, and entitles him to have a significant hunk of his wealth confiscated by the government on the occassion of his passing?
The mind reels.
