Here we snow again

Didn’t we do this once before? Oh yeah. 2004. Nothing for a month. Then 2 feet in February.

As I write this, there’s almost 2 feet on the ground, and it’s still snowing.

Here’s how the neighbor’s dogs feel about it:
The snow is taller than Cody!

My dog, of course, won’t deign to exit the abode. Can’t get her dainty paws wet.

And my neighbor - checking the depth:

That’s an entire standard snow shovel, plus a good 6 inches of handle stuck in there. It’s difficult to get an accurate measurement since it’s light and fluffy and blowing around, but in a few places around my driveway (that I could reach without leaving the safety of the deck) I got 12 and 17 inches. And that’s under a bunch of trees. The back yard, which isn’t, is deeper. I’ll get a number out there later. No doubt I’ll need to shovel a path for her highness anyhow. I will say that the fence, which is about, I dunno, 3 feet high, is more than half buried.
